Improving Indoor Air Quality

Our ThermoWool range of products are manufactured using natural sheep's wool. The wool content plays a significant role in reducing free radicals emitted into the atmosphere by the materials used in building construction.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) tend to be present at higher levels of concentration in new buildings. "ThermoWool" insulation provides a built-in mechanism to counteract the harmful effects of VOCs. Sheep's wool is a known absorber of VOCs.

Sheep's wool doesn't only remove VOCs from the surrounding air, once absorbed the VOCs are locked away in the wool fibre's core premanently removing them from the environment.

No Danger from Insects

The sheep’s wool used to manufacture “ThermoWool” is treated for insect resistance with “Larvanil”. The patented system of Larvanil is based on a synthetic pyrethroid developed over a 5 year period by “Melbourne Aniline & Lye Pty” in joint co-operation with major research and industrial players in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. It is an Eco-friendly product that has proven to be effective against insect larvae infestation, while at the same time being non-toxic and safe for humans.
